What is unique to my practice is that I offer a space to talk through concerns and events in your life while also teaching you coping skills throughout. These skills can help you to better manage said concerns and life events when they arise. Overall, what guides our work together is your chosen values and moving closer to the life you envision.

I am trained in both Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), both of which are mindfulness-based therapies offering behavioral change based on values and effectiveness. Both therapies offer the benefit of looking at the big picture and determining what fits best for your life.

DBT: Dialectical Behavior Therapy teaches an assortment of tools and skills that come to replace ineffective and even destructive behaviors that may be wreaking havoc on quality of life and relationships. These destructive behaviors may even threaten safety through self harm, disordered eating behaviors, suicidal actions, and chaos in relationships. For more information on DBT, please click HERE

ACT: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy teaches psychological flexibility, which means the ability to be in the present moment, accepting and embracing internal experiences, and aligning with values by taking action towards what matters. ACT involves experiential mindfulness exercises in session, clarifying your personal values, and determining which steps can be taken every single day to move you in the direction you choose for your life.
